I keep hearing about SeptemberFest – what is it?
SeptemberFest weekend is one of FSCS’s biggest fundraisers and one of the best opportunities for our community to come together! The weekend is broken up into two parts: Family Fun Night on Friday for everyone, and the outdoor concert for adults (21+) on Saturday night.
Who goes to SeptemberFest?
Family Fun Night on Friday is primarily FSCS families, and everyone is encouraging to also invite/bring their friends, neighbors, and relatives. The concert Saturday night is a mix of FSCS parents, their friends/neighbors/relatives, and people from the community who have no ties to the school but want to have a blast at an outdoor concert in their own neighborhood, hence the “biggest ‘lil block party in the ‘burbs.”
FAMILY FUN NIGHT
What is Family Fun Night?
Family Fun Night is an opportunity to gather and celebrate our amazing community ~ meeting new friends, catching up with old friends, watching our kiddos run around have the time of their lives participating in super fun activities, playing games, and winning awesome prizes. We've been waiting two years for this, so it's definitely going to be epic!
How much does Family Fun Night cost?
Admission to Family Fun Night is $10 per person, or $30 per family. The games and activities cost tickets, which are $0.50 each. The number of tickets varies depending on the game or activity!
What types of games and activities are offered at Family Fun Night?
We offer games and activities for all ages - from preschool through adults! Some of our most popular games over the last few years include: (1) cherry tree, where your kiddo pulls a lollipop for a chance to win a prize worth $5 or more, $10 or more, $15 or more, or $20 or more; (2) cake walk; (3) pop toss; (4) bouncy house; (5) Hoop A Toy, where your kiddo has a chance to win a brand new, adorable stuffy; (6) Win a Fish!; and (7) a giant slide! We also have several traditional carnival games and many inflatable activities, as well as face painting and tie-dying!
Do I need cash at Family Fun Night?
Yes! Bring your Benjamin’s! Though we will also have a cash machine onsite for your convenience. You won't don't to miss your chance to win half the pot in the 50/50 raffle, or for your kiddo to participate in the corn pit treasure hunt for the chance to win awesome prizes!!! We'll also have a gift card wall - $5 gets you a chance to throw a dart at a wall full of balloons to win a gift card worth up to $25. No gift card is worth less than $5, so no matter what you come out at least even . . . that's our kind of odds! And you'll probably decide you need to buy additional raffle tickets too once you see all the fantastic prizes.
Speaking of the raffle, what about these amazing raffle prizes I've heard about?
Every Family Fun Night includes an awesome raffle, and this year we have some super amazing raffles prizes - our BEST EVER!!! We do multiple drawings about every 20 minutes during Family Fun Night with several winners! So be certain to get your raffle tickets early to get in on every chance to win! Raffle tickets are only $10, and with these fantastic prizes, you'll want to buy at least 10!
How long should we stay?
Family Fun Night runs from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Many people are waiting to get in right when the gates open, and lots of people stay up until the minute it ends! We love that! But you are welcome to come whenever you want, and to stay for as long as you can. Just be sure to join us! You will not regret it!!! Note: you must be present to win the 50/50 raffle, which will be drawn at 7:45 pm, and the corn pit treasure hunt will occur at 7:00 pm, so be certain to be around for those super fun special events!
Is there anything to eat?
Yes ~ grab dinner for the whole family! We'll offer grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, chips, and beverages. And don't forget dessert ~ try a delicious and insane milkshake creation from Mason Jar Madness!
How do you make all this fun happen?
Not without your help ~ it definitely takes a village! Please sign up to volunteer at Family Fun Night here. Many of our most popular games also rely on donations for prizes! We still need of 2 liter soda bottles for the Pop Toss and store bought baked goods for the popular cake walk, as well as gender neutral toys, games, activities, and gift cards that elementary and middle school aged kids would love, each worth at least $5 or more! Donations are accepted all week ~ just bring them to the school office!
